Biographical Sketch

Professor Fabiola M. Martínez-Licona studied the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the UAM-Iztapalapa. She has a doctorate in Administrative Sciences with a specialty in Public Policies and Evaluation of Medical Technologies. She is a professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, teaching more than 250 courses in the undergraduate and graduate academic programs of the Department of Electrical Engineering. She is part of the National Laboratory for Research in Medical Instrumentation and Imaging (CI3M), in the Optimization and Artificial Intelligence area. She has collaborated with national peers in institutions such as the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition “Salvador Zubirán”, the National Institute of Rehabilitation, the National Institute of Cancerology and the Mexican Center for Clinical Engineering. At an international level she has collaborations in Argentina, Colombia and Russia through projects related to Speech Technologies and Biomedical Engineering and direction of postgraduate thesis. She has published in national and international forums on Biomedical Engineering, Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence. She is president of the Clinical Engineering Division of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering and collaborates with the clinical engineering commission of the College of Biomedical Engineers of Mexico and the Mexican Society of Biomedical Engineering.
